The Fuel Filter catches dirt and residue inside the fuel line. When fuel is properly filtered it keeps the fuel induction/throttle body system running clean which gives you better engine performance and fuel economy. A clogged fuel filter will cause the fuel pump to work harder and eventually fail, leading to expensive repairs. Fuel filters come in many shapes and sizes, depending on your vehicle make and model.
Symptoms of a worn fuel filter include:
- Weak acceleration
