Passing the annual Virginia State Inspection isn’t hard to do. Here are some easy ways to make sure your vehicle is ready for the annual Virginia State Inspection:

  1. Have a reputable shop perform a maintenance inspection at every visit. Mosty people need an oil change 3-4 times per year, ask for a maintenance inspection which will look for wear and tear like worn brake pads, torn windshield wipers, fluid levels, belts and hoses, plus more. We recommend a digital inspection where Techs take a digital picture of everything they inspect along with notes and recommendations. You can request the digital inspection be emailed or texted to you.
  2. Create a maintenance plan. Ask your service adviser to prioritize recomendations for important repairs and maintenance such as brake pad or ball joint replacement. Ask your adviser if their reccomendations for repairs or maintenance are ares of the vehicle which are included the annual state inspection points.
  3. Keep up with Factory Scheduled Maintenance. When you do the recommended maintenance at 30/60/90 intervals you are keeping you vehicle in good condition which prevents many commonly needed repairs.
