After the Winter snow has melted we find potholes were left behind on roads, streets, and parking lots. Potholes are caused when freezing water inside of asphalt expands, causing larger cracks and breakage. While they seem more of a bother than harmful, a pothole can cause major damage to you suspension system.

Your Suspension includes:

  • Shocks and/or struts
  • Steering Knuckle
  • Ball Joints
  • Steering
  • Bearings, seals, or hub units
  • Tie Rod ends

Avoid driving though potholes: If you have no where else to go slow down and drive though slowly. The faster you drive through the more damage can occur to your suspension system, tires, and body.

Spring is a great time to think about new shocks and struts. Schedule a test drive and suspension inspection with a Tech at South Chesterfield or Moseley Titan Auto & Tire.
